Community ArtReach are teaming up with the friendly folks at Howdy Studio to bring you a 4 workshop series on tapping into your own individual story and building confidence, not just on the stage, but in everyday situations. 

Draw your (S)words (DYS) spoken word events are brought to you by Community ArtReach. Their focus is on fostering an environment of understanding + acceptance, where every voice is valued. You’ll be able to express yourself without hesitation or insecurity, working through your comfort zone to write + create emotive poetry that you’ll proudly be able to share with fellow poets + comrades. Celebrating your expressive growth + fostering a community of like minded folk sharing their own unique stories together.

embark with us on a poetical journey that celebrates every voice and welcomes all learning to use theirs.
Our enriching 4 week inclusive poetry workshop series will allow your creativity to bloom in a safe and nurturing environment, delivered by well seasoned poets.
Running weekly: nov 15th, nov 22nd, nov 29th, dec 6th
All are welcome. Whether you’re a poet in the making, wanting to unlock your creativity, or someone that has published their 3rd novel. Our workshops are designed to resonate + make space for everyone.

WEEK 1 (15th Nov): Finding inspiration; capture emotions through the vivid palette of poetry; expressing your feelings + thoughts in a way that only a curated collection of emotive words can convey through prompts to get the juices flowing.

WEEK 2: (22nd Nov) Drawing from your story; connect through storytelling as we explore personal narratives, weaving them into evocative verses that resonate with + communicate your experiences.

WEEK 3: (29th Nov) Conveying emotions; explore performance styles in a way that really takes the listener on a journey, through the art of storytelling.

WEEK 4: (6th Dec) Building confidence; confidence building with practical tools that will come in handy for life not just with performing on stage.

All workshops are $29 each* or why not treat yourself to all four with our package deal, Community ArtReach try to keep the costs down when possible, this fee covers the cost of venue and artist facilitation.
