This is your chance to connect with others, share your lived experience, and help shape the future of your town. Whether you’ve just arrived, lived here for years, or simply want to get involved - you belong here.

🌟 About the Program

The Community Capacity Building Program is a Shire-wide initiative designed to support local people to connect, build confidence, and create positive change in their towns.

Through a strengths-based, inclusive approach, we’re inviting residents of all backgrounds - especially those new to town, new to volunteering, or simply curious - to come together and start a journey of community-led action.

These one hour online sessions will:

✔️ Uncover your town’s unique strengths and local assets
✔️ Connect community members across different groups and backgrounds
✔️ Explore local priorities and opportunities
✔️ Invite your ideas for creating a stronger, more liveable community
✔️ Help set the stage for in-person workshops and "quick win" community projects in early 2026

👥 Who Should Attend?

Everyone! We especially welcome:

Community champions
Long term residents
New residents and FIFO families
People interested in getting involved in local projects
Community members not currently involved in volunteering
Anyone with ideas, passion or lived experience to share
