This event is a community conversation about the upcoming referendum. It aims to spread awareness in the South Asian community about the First Nations Voice to Parliament. It will have have prominent speakers from the Pakistani Australian community. We will cover the following topics during this session :

● The Voice to Parliament - what it is, why it is being asked for and why do we have to vote on it ● A brief history of colonisation in this country and its impacts on Aboriginal people to this day● Similarities between South Asian culture and First Nations Culture and why we should vote yes ● What we are being asked to vote on

The event will feature speakers including Senator Mehreen Faruqi and others from the Pakistani Australian community.

There will be time for a Q&A session plus chai and snacks!
