Event description

A weekly community yoga class for calm and connection

If you’re a Kensington local, or are even further afield in Melbourne, I am guiding weekly, one-hour classes of gentle yoga, including Yin Yoga, pranayama (breathwork) and meditation to allow for nervous system regulation, inner creativity and stillness, and coming back to the breath. A lovely meditation at the end will help with preparing for the evening wind-down.

Each week, you’ll be guided through some or all of the following modalities to support restoration and coming back to the self:

  • Yin Yoga
  • Pranayama (breathwork)
  • meditation
  • mantra
  • Hatha slow flows
  • Himalayan Kundalini Kriya
  • journalling

Come with no expectation, except a readiness to simply ‘be’ and to move through a set of practices intuitively woven to support the changing seasons, energies and needs of the group.

This gentle yoga community class is open to all.

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring:

  • A yoga mat
  • A journal and pen
  • A cushion or bolster if you’d like extra support for Yin poses

Please arrive 10 minutes earlier to settle into the space.

Location: Christ Church Kensington, 76 McCracken St, Kensington VIC

Please visit www.dandomitravels.com for more information.

Please note: Breathwork is not recommended for individuals with certain health conditions, including but not limited to a history of aneurysms, cardiovascular issues, detached retina, glaucoma, epilepsy, uncontrolled high blood pressure, strokes, pregnancy in the first trimester, or recent surgeries.

It is also contraindicated for those on prescription blood-thinning medications, individuals with psychiatric conditions such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, or anyone who has been hospitalised for a psychiatric episode.
