With the Community Film Challenge Screening & Awards Night happening this Friday, we wanted to send through a few final details so you know what to expect on the night.
Community Film Challenge pairs Wellington's talented filmmakers with local charities for one intensive weekend of filmmaking, turning real skill into real impact for the causes that need it most.
What to expect:
We’ll be celebrating the films created through the Community Film Challenge, alongside the charities, filmmakers, students, volunteers and supporters who made the project possible.
The evening will include a screening of all the films, followed by the awards presentation and a chance to celebrate together afterwards.
Arrival & timing:
Friday 2 October
Embassy Theatre, Wellington
5:30pm - Doors open
6:00pm - Screening begins. Please allow enough time to arrive, check in and find your seat before the screening begins. Awards will be presented after the screening concludes
7:45pm Light bites and mingling in the foyer
8:30pm Event ends
Please note that seating will be allocated on a first-come basis unless you have been specifically advised otherwise.
Dress code:
Formal / evening wear. This is a celebration, so feel free to dress up and make an occasion of it!
A few other things:
Please keep your ticket handy for entry.
We’ll have photography and videography taking place throughout the evening (please make the photographer or a member of our team aware if you would like to be excluded from either)
There will be opportunities to mingle and celebrate with the wider Community Film Challenge community.
We’ll be recognising the winning teams and presenting the various awards throughout the evening.
Most importantly, come along ready to celebrate what everyone has made. This project has brought together an incredible group of charities, filmmakers, students and creatives, and we’re really looking forward to sharing the films with you all!!!
