Join us for a free community screening of the eye-opening global Netflix documentary, The Plastic Detox.

Most of us know about plastic pollution in our oceans, but this film asks a much closer, more personal question: What are everyday plastic-related chemicals doing inside our bodies?

Produced by an Academy Award®-winning team, the film follows six couples navigating unexplained fertility struggles as they embark on a 90-day experiment to dramatically lower their chemical exposure. Guided by leading epidemiologist Dr. Shanna Swan, they swap out everyday items, from kitchenware and personal care to synthetic fabrics, to see if the human body can heal when we remove the invisible pressure of modern plastics.

This isn't a film about doom-and-gloom; it’s an empowering, hopeful look at how small, practical lifestyle swaps can create measurable biological shifts in our health, hormones, and overall wellbeing.

This project is supported through the Yarra City Council Quick Response Grants Program.
