Community Fishing Day - Wellington Point

This event is open to REDLANDS RESIDENTS ONLY aged 12 to 24 years old
Enviro Fish Inc are hosting a community fishing day, facilitated by 2 Bent Rods. Â
2 Bent Rods encourages everybody to get out and have a go. Get off our screens and into the outdoors. Our fishing classes are open to people of all ages, races, backgrounds and abilities.
At a 2 Bent Rods Fish Wiseâ„¢ activity, you will learn the basics of fishing including how to catch bait, tie fishing knots, bait hooks, cast a fishing rod and learn plenty of tips to make your next fishing trip more successful.
A light BBQ lunch and cold drink will be provided. The event will also include a beach/park clean. This is to clean the environment as well as provide education and awareness of the detrimental effects of rubbish. Gloves and sanitizer will be supplied.
All bait, equipment and instructors will be provided. All staff have blue cards for working with children.
Transport is the responsibility of the ticketholders/provider.
Bookings are essential.
We recommend you bring a hat, water bottle, sunscreen and wear clothes that can get wet.
Redland City Council is proud to provide funding for the Community Fishing Day as part of the Activate Redlands Coast Youth Week 2024 to assist the Redlands Coast Community.

• Tickets required for all attendees. Places are limited.
• If you can no longer attend, let us know so we can free up your place to those who are on the waiting list. Contact 2 Bent Rods at bookings@2bentrods.com.au.
• Humanitix fees are non-refundable.
• If the class is cancelled/postponed due to bad weather, we will notify you beforehand via text and email. This will be either the night before or morning of the class, as weather is very hard to predict further out from the date.
