Community Focus Group - Canberra
Event description
EAAA have been engaged by the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department to lead an important national research and consultation project to inform the development of the 2nd National Plan to Respond to the Abuse of Older Australians.
As part of the national consultation program, we are seeking expressions of interest from community members to participate in a Focus Group. We welcome people with a lived experience of elder abuse, or have had involvement with someone who has, as well as people that may not have experienced either but would like to raise their views on this issue.
If you are passionate about ending the abuse of older Australians and would like to contribute your views on this issue in a safe and inclusive setting, please submit an expression of interest for the location nearest you.
Click the Submit EOI button to complete the form questions and submit your expression of interest. Successful submissions will be notified within three (3) working days and sent a confirmation email containing a ticket to attend this session.
To ensure we hear from a broad cross-section of the community, we strongly encourage expressions of interest from people of diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
Collection of Personal Information:
The expression of interest submission form includes demographic questions which require registrants to provide personal details additional to their basic contact information. These details will be used to ensure each workshop collects and represents the views of a broad cross section of the community. The information will also be used for statistical and reporting purposes to be presented as de-identified data.
