Event description

You are invited to a Community Grief Gathering at the Carine Open Space to acknowledge and attend to the grief you carry in your life.

This Gathering is hosted by the Grief Centre of Western Australia as an opportunity for individuals, families and/or groups of friends to come together to allow the time and space for their losses to be honoured and respected.

The Grief Centre's Gatherings recognise that over the ages and across cultures, traditions around the world have always experienced grief as a communal event. In western society, the pain of loss can often linger due to there being nowhere for people to bring their heartache beyond the context of a funeral and wake.

Our Grief Gatherings are non-sectarian, simple and inclusive.  Together our grief will be honoured and laid down - at least for a moment - before being reclaimed and revered anew.

The Grief Centre is grateful for the support of the City of Stirling for funding this Gathering in addition to a second in Tuart Hill on Sunday, 2-4pm June 12, 2022.  Light refreshments will be included at both events, along with take-away Grief Packs.

Please note that this is an outside event and may be postponed should the weather not be favourable.  Ticket-holders will be kept informed.
