This event is a fundraiser to support Zen and the recovery efforts following the Pomona fire disaster. Every ticket sold, and all other money raised, will directly support the relief efforts.

A Hidden Piece of History

Tucked away on Memorial Avenue, this small timber building wasn’t immediately visible from the street, but it carried a quiet history of its own. Thought to date back many decades, it was one of those modest structures that had witnessed Pomona’s changing character over the years.

Over time, it found new life through various uses, most recently as a wellness space where locals came together for health, expression, movement, and connection. Though simple in form, the building had a sense of endurance and familiarity that made it part of Pomona’s fabric.

In August 2025, a fire destroyed the building, erasing not just the space itself but also a piece of local history. Its absence is a reminder of the fragile, irreplaceable charm of Pomona’s older buildings, and of the importance of supporting the people and businesses who bring them to life.
