Kirtan, or devotional chanting of mantra, is one of the primary practices of Bhakti Yoga - the Yoga of devotion. Nada Yoga is an ancient Indian practice, often called the "yoga of sound," that uses sound and vibration to purify the mind, harmonize the body, and connect with a higher state of consciousness.

One does not need to know the mantras in order to participate in kirtan or to feel the profoundly powerful effects of chanting. Traditionally a call and response, you will be lovingly guided along your journey. Let your voice merge into the mantra, or simply soak in the vibrations.

No Experience Needed: please know Community Kirtan is not a musical performance but rather, an act of devotion through vocal expression. Whether you love to sing or prefer to listen, you are welcome.
