FREE Community Koala Tree Planting Day

Join us for an exciting and informative morning of guest speakers, getting your hands dirty planting some trees and then enjoy a BBQ lunch as a thank you!

Guest speakers will talk about:

  • Koala Feed Tree Identification skills
  • Koala critical first aid
  • Tips and tricks on successful tree planting
  • Hands on tree planting for habitat connectivity

Free koala feed trees will be available on the day for all participants to take home!

A light morning tea on arrival and a BBQ lunch after the tree planting will be provided.

Location: Wingham Travelling Stock Reserve (TSR), Youngs Road, Wingham.
Saturday 6 May 2023 - Starts 10am (Please arrive 15 minutes prior)

Children welcome.

PLEASE NOTE: 

This location is in a bushland paddock and is unsuitable for wheelchairs or those people with mobility issues.

The site may be unsuitable for very small children.

Covered shoes are recommended.

PLEASE BRING:

Please bring sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, and a fold up chair if needed.

All tools for tree planting will be provided.

PARKING:

Parking is available on site, in the paddock.  In the event of very wet weather the event may be cancelled and you will be notified.

TOILETS:

There are no toilets onsite.  The nearest public toilets are in Wingham.  Sanitiser and water will be provided for handwashing.
