Community Mapping Workshop

Community Mapping (sometimes called asset mapping) involves people identifying their communities' assets, looking at opportunities and creating a picture of what it is like to live there. To be used as research, evaluation or a community engagement process.

When: Saturday 13th April 2024

Time: 10.00 am to 3.30 pm AEDT

This training is interactive and participatory, where you can use the tools and resources you are learning about. These tools and resources can be used directly with the communities you work with.

Community Mapping is an effective way to map individuals' skills, talents, abilities, and passions and discover the strengths, networks, and resources of communities and organisations. This workshop will cover:

• The WHY, The HOW, The CONNECTION and The OUTCOMES of Community Mapping
• Key Steps to Community Mapping
• Tools share with others to identify, connect and activate community assets

What to bring: Wear comfy clothes, bring a kind heart and curious mind, your own lunch (or you can buy it locally) 

What we provide: Workbook to take home, snacks, water, tea and coffee.
