Service and Creative Skills Australia (SaCSA) welcomes stakeholders from the Community Pharmacy sector in Australian Capital Territory to join us for an online session as part of the Review of Community Pharmacy Qualifications.

This session brings together employers, industry leaders and practitioners, alongside workforce representatives and registered training organisations (RTOs), to contribute to the review of draft qualifications and units of competency and help shape national training products so they reflect current industry practice.

This is an opportunity to provide direct input into qualifications that support workforce capability and career pathways across the Community Pharmacy sector.

Community Pharmacy

Community pharmacies are expanding their role through extended scope of practice. Many states and territories have extended scope of practice, enabling pharmacies to support a wider range of clinical services. As services continue to grow, the workforce requires training that reflects the changing responsibilities and capabilities of modern pharmacy teams.

As part of the Review of Community Pharmacy Qualifications, SaCSA is examining the following qualifications:

Certificate III in Community Pharmacy
Certificate IV in Community Pharmacy
Certificate IV in Community Pharmacy Dispensary

To support the ongoing relevance and practicality of qualifications, SaCSA is reviewing these training products in consultation with industry, training providers, unions and government. This session builds on that collaboration by inviting further local insight before the review progresses.
