Event description

We are calling out to all outdoor and environmental enthusiasts to join us for a Landcare community tree planting day! We are seeking volunteers to give a few hours of time to help plant native plants which will be part of a habitat linkages project aimed at joining Burrinjuck to Bango Nature Reserves.

The event will take place on Saturday, 4th May, overlooking of the Murrumbidgee River near Bookham (40min from Yass) We will be planting native trees and shrubs to help restore the local ecosystem and create habitats for native wildlife in the adjoining Burrinjuck Reserve.

No prior experience is necessary, and all ages are welcome to participate. We will provide all the necessary tools and equipment and take you through the process of planting. Just come dressed in comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and bring a water bottle.

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, learn about some of the plants native to our area, make a positive impact on our local environment and have fun! So, join us and be a part of a bigger project to create a healthier connected landscape.

What to bring;

  • Pair of gloves;
  • Water bottle ; and

  • If you have a small spade you may like to bring that also.

We look forward to seeing you there!
