Community Planting, North Brighton
Description
Join the North Brighton Community Garden volunteers for some planting and lunch!
The North Brighton Community Garden volunteers, in collaboration with City of Holdfast Bay, have been working to increase local native plant species and diversity in this beautiful urban pocket park. We would like to invite you to join us for a fun morning of planting, followed by a shared lunch with produce from the community garden.
Please arrive at 10.15am to allow time for registrations, and to hear the safety briefing. You are welcome to stay for as long or as little time as you like. A healthy, fresh lunch will be provided at the end of the activity, but please feel free to contribute.
Bring along gardening gloves, a small hand trowel and water. Wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, closed toe shoes, safety or optical glasses and a hat or rain jacket (depending on the weather). We will provide any additional tools and equipment that are needed. Under 18s will need to be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian.
Bookings are essential to make sure we have enough equipment.
