Community Safety Workshop - E-Bikes & Illegal Motorised Vehicles
Description
Join Banyule City Council, Victoria Police, and Neighbourhood Watch for an informative community workshop focusing on the safe and legal use of e-bikes, e-scooters, and other motorised devices.
With the rise in popularity of e-mobility, many community members have questions about what’s allowed, what isn’t, and how to stay safe on our roads and shared paths. This session will provide clear, up-to-date information on Victorian road rules, common compliance issues, and the risks associated with illegal or modified motorised vehicles.
What you’ll learn:
The difference between legal and illegal e-bikes, scooters, and motorised devices
Key road rules and safety requirements in Victoria
Common issues Victoria Police are seeing in the community
Tips for safe riding and responsible use
How to report concerns and keep your neighbourhood safe
This workshop is part of Council’s community education series designed to support safer, more informed neighbourhoods.
Who should attend:
Residents, parents, young people, and anyone using or considering using an e-bike, e-scooter, or similar device.
Come along, ask questions, and gain the knowledge you need to ride safely and confidently in your community.
