Community screening of The Healing - Huskisson

A documentary tracking an inspiring journey of recovery from two very different worlds. Set against the stunning backdrop of Kangaroo Valley in NSW, a revolutionary program brings together traumatised ex-racehorses and traumatised military veterans - to help rebuild each other, and transform lives.

The documentary screening will be followed by a QnA session with Scott Brodie who features in the film and some participants who have recently experienced the healing of horsemanship.

Community screening to raise money for Horse Aid a not-for-profit that provides equine-assisted healing programs to those with service trauma. Eligible participants include serving and ex-serving defence personnel and first responders with PTSD, anxiety, depression and/or suicidal thoughts from serving our nation and our communities. We teach them horsemanship and this builds hope and resilience for the heroes and second careers for the ex-racehorses.
