Guests may choose tickets from $0 - $50.

Session times: 11am - 12 noon, 1pm - 2pm, 3pm - 4pm.

Seats are limited to 6 per session.

Why a Mindful Tea House?

In ancient times, tea was a pathway to safety. To Community.

Tea is an offering. An invitation. A welcome. A language without words.

The tea house was a sanctuary, a third space to gather in quietude. To rest.

We would beckon to a stranger to join our fire. We may not have spoken the same language, but we could communicate with bowed heads, hands, gestures and smiles. With compassion.

We can do the same today.

You are welcome here, friend. We all deserve to fill our cups.

What to expect...

Be welcomed just as you are.

Join a short grounding meditation.

Savour a shared pot of tea.

Sit in silence or share your voice. Bring a journal. Connect with yourself or with others.

Flow. The choice is yours.

Rest. Seats are limited to 6 per session. If there is space, you are welcome to linger for a little longer than the hour.

Your Guide

Hello, friend. I'm Po-Tien. I'm an accredited meditation teacher, a Northern Beaches local, and a forever-student of meditation and tea culture. Tea is part of my heritage and a compassionate part of global culture. I teach meditation and offer tea as @the.mindful.cup. I guide meditations and share tea as a way to build Community, nurture compassion and foster connection. All are warmly welcomed to my tea table.

Location

Hold Space Studio is located in Dee Why, on the Aboriginal lands of the Gayamaygal people. I am grateful to share my cultural practice on these lands, and I respectfully bow to the Traditional Custodians, and to Elders past and present, to communities still here. I acknowledge their living connection to Country, culture and spirit. I extend that respect to solidarity - to uplift and listen.

Accessibility & Facilities:

Hold Space studio is located on the first floor of Stones Arcade and is accessible by stairs.
This Tea Meditation will be held on the floor. Yoga mats and cushions are available. Please bring your mats, blankets or cushions for additional support.

For your comfort:

Tea is served on the floor. For your additional comfort, please bring your own cushion or yoga mat.
Bring your own water bottle to stay hydrated.
Wear loose/ comfortable clothes.
Please eat a nourishing meal and leave ample time for digestion before your session.
