Looking for something fun and educational to do during the school holidays? Join us on a free community walking tour of the Resource Recovery Group's Canning Vale Centre with the team from Recycle Right®. This tour has changed participants' lives and started movements such as Plastic Free July.  What could this tour inspire in you?


    You will get an inside look at what happens to kerbside waste and recycling after collection and how it is transformed back into a resource.

    On this 90-minute tour, you will view:

    🍎
    FOGO processing facility.

    🌳
    Green waste facility.
    ♻️
    Materials Recovery Facility, where recyclables from the yellow lid kerbside bins are sorted and baled for resale.

     

    👩‍🏫
    The waste education centre, where there are more resources to help you to reduce, reuse, and recycle.






    Tour path and footwear requirements

    The tour involves spending approximately 30 minutes of walking outdoors on bush paths around the site. A reasonable level of physical fitness is required. 

    Fully enclosed footwear is essential for all attendees. 

    Children aged six years and over are welcome. They must be accompanied by a supervising adult and register a ticket to secure a seat on the bus. 

    *Please note residents residing in the City of Perth and Vincent will have priority for the tour
