Stonehedge Community Weekend

Hello Friends & Community...

For many years, Labor Day weekend at Stonehedge Gardens has been a time to gather in song, connection, and love. While this year’s invitation looks a little different, the heart of gathering in community remains.

We invite you to join us for a Community Gathering Day at Stonehedge Gardens , a Friendsgiving-inspired weekend of tending the land, sharing food, making music, and spending time together as we help prepare Stonehedge for the upcoming Harmonic Earth gathering.

Come ready to lend a hand, reconnect with old friends and meet new ones, and enjoy the simple magic of being together on the land. Throughout the day there will be opportunities to help with preparations, share songs and music, gather around the campfire, eat together, and enjoy the gardens.

We’ll have some food to share and invite everyone to bring a favorite dish, snack, or offering for the communal table, potluck-style.

This isn’t quite the weekend of years past, but it carries forward something that has always been at its heart: community, song, service, shared meals, and love for this land and one another.

Come for the day, lend your hands and your heart, bring an instrument or a song if you feel called, and help us make Stonehedge ready for what’s to come.

Your Offering to Stonehedge

Stonehedge Gardens is opening its land to us for a weekend of camping, gathering, ceremony, music, and community. In return, we ask everyone who joins us to make an offering back to the land.

We invite you to contribute in one of two primary ways:

• Offer at least 4 hours of volunteer service during the weekend; or

• Make a financial donation to Stonehedge Gardens to support the continued care of the land, its infrastructure, and future community programming.

If you are able and inspired to offer both, your support is deeply appreciated. While there is no charge for the weekend, the number of people we can accommodate for the weekend is limited and we are asking you to RSVP. This will help us plan for the amount of food and other resources to have on hand to make sure everything runs smoothly for the weekend

Arrival + Admission

• You are welcome to arrive Friday evening, join us Saturday, or stay and camp with us through Monday.

• Saturday will be our primary day of gathering, celebration, song, ceremony, shared meals, and connection.

• Sunday will be primarily dedicated to service and volunteering on the land, helping Stonehedge prepare for Harmonic Earth and tending to projects that support the gardens and community spaces.

Food + Communal Meals

Please come prepared to self-sustain for the weekend and bring the food and snacks you personally need.

Food will also be woven into the weekend in a communal, potluck-style way. We anticipate offering a simple shared breakfast with things like oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs, tea, and coffee, with tea and coffee available in the Tea Temple.

We welcome contributions to breakfast—fruit, toppings, eggs, baked goods, or anything else you'd love to add to the table.

On Saturday evening, we also plan to come together for a larger communal meal. Please consider bringing a dish, ingredients, financial contribution, or another offering toward dinner. You are equally welcome to bring and prepare your own meal if that works better for you.

Think abundance through participation: if we each bring a little something, there will be plenty to share.

Camping + Accommodations

Camping is available on the land throughout the weekend. Please arrive prepared to be self-sufficient and leave no trace.

Bring your own tent, sleeping setup, weather-appropriate gear, water bottle, toiletries, food, and anything else you need to comfortably care for yourself.

We ask that you treat Stonehedge as you would the home of a dear friend. Anything you bring onto the land should leave with you, including trash and personal belongings. Please help us leave the gardens even more cared for than we found them.

Community Care + Co-Creation

More than anything, we ask everyone arriving at Stonehedge this weekend to come with a spirit of collaboration, participation, and community care.

There will not be a separation between the people "putting on" the gathering and the people attending it. We are creating the weekend together.

Look for where a hand is needed. Share a song. Help prepare a meal. Tend a fire. Pick up something that needs picking up. Offer your creativity. Ask someone how you can help. Take time to pray with the land.

And as with any community space, moments of discomfort or conflict may arise. If you experience harm, feel unsafe, or encounter a situation that needs additional support, please connect with one of the hosts or organizers as soon as possible. We want to use our collective resources to meet what arises with care, accountability, and respect.

Come ready to give and receive, work and celebrate, listen and sing, tend and be tended.

This is our weekend to remember what becomes possible when we gather around the land—and around one another—with intention.
