Yin yoga is one of the slowest, most gentle styles of yoga, involving active stretching in floor-based poses. Instead of flowing through sequences or building strength, you settle into the pose, often supported by props, and you stay there for a few minutes at a time, letting your body soften and unwind.

Yin yoga targets the fascia (the tissue between your skin and your muscles), which is often responsible for what we refer to as "knots" and muscular tightness. It's a great complement to strength training and running.

This free community class is open to everyone of all fitness levels. If you've never done yoga before, you're in the right place. If you've tried yoga and found it too fast, too intense, or just not quite right for you, you're also in the right place.
