Car Tyre Amnesty for North West Tasmanian Residents
Event description
Got some old tyres lying around the garage? The Cradle Coast Waste Management Group is rolling out its first-ever Car Tyre Amnesty — and you're invited to help us give those tyres the boot (responsibly, of course).
In partnership with Tyrecycle, this event aims to remove this hazardous and problematic waste stream from the community and ensure it is disposed of safely and sustainably.
An $8.80 (inc GST) holding fee will be charged at the time of booking to secure your spot and will be refunded in full within 7 days of the event, provided that the registered tyres were dropped at the collection site. No shows will not receive a refund.
The event will be held at the Burnie Waste Management and Resource Recovery Centre and is open to all residents of Northwest Tasmania. Pre-registration is essential and places are limited.
Round 'em up, get 'em registered and roll 'em in!

Tyre Limits:
A maximum of 5 tyres per household will be accepted.

Tyres must not be on rims.
Registration Requirement:

Registration details will be checked at the collection site.
No tyres will be accepted without a valid registration.
Scheduled Drop-off Time:
Residents must register for a specific time slot for drop-off (10.15am to 2pm).
This measure is in place to support traffic management at the collection site.
Each time slot has limited capacity, and registrations will be allocated accordingly.
Strict Adherence to Limits:
No additional tyres beyond the 5 per household limit will be accepted.
Rejection of Tyres:
Only tyres meeting these Terms & Conditions will be accepted.
