Event description

Please join me at the Hills Environment Centre for a new iniative: Compassion Cafe. This is an opportunity to connect, share and support. Or just enjoy some like-minded company, a warm drink and a fabulous view here at the Hills Environment Centre.

Many of us are experiencing loneliness and climate anxiety and look around at the state of our world and despair. There is comfort and support to be found in community and knowing you are not alone. This will be a safe and supportive environment with no judgment, only kindness.

For our first session there will be the opportunity to make some bees wax wraps and so reduce our plastic footprint. Every little thing we can do to make a positive impact on our planet can help -especially if enough of us can do these little things. We are all an important part of the solution.

Please bring along some fabric for wraps: 100% cotton fabric. Lighter weight non-stretch fabrics are best as they use less beeswax mixture and are more flexible. Wash your fabric and cut out squares, circles, or rectangles with pinking shears or scissors. I will bring pinking shears for use.

Children most welcome. Playmats, play equipment and Steiner toys will be available.

All welcome.

Gold coin donation.

Bookings essential.

This event is proudly supported by the Hills Environment Centre and Green Adelaide.
