Complete Cervical Assessment and Correction - Sydney

Restrictions in the cervical spine and the thoraco-cervical junction – thoracic outlet syndrome, stiffness, pain and cervicogenic headaches, to name a few – are amongst the most common presentations in my clinic. Based on 30 years of teaching and dialoguing with other therapists, this is the same for many clinicians. This two day class will start with a review of fascial anatomy and physiology and an in depth examination of the biomechanics of the neck. A comprehensive range of myofascial techniques will be demonstrated and exchanged. The second part of the course will focus on how to assess and release articular restrictions, C1 – T1. Each segment will be motion tested and corrections will be applied. The third part of the course will integrate the increased mobility into new movement patterns that will assist in maintaining the changes.

    Presenter: Michael Stanborough

Michael Stanborough, MA, Advanced Rolfer, has taught Myofascial Release at numerous schools, hospitals and clinics in the USA, Korea, Singapore, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, Puerto Rico, Australia and Africa. He was the first Australian to be certified as a teacher of Rolfing® by the Rolf Institute and has been practicing that method for over 35 years. Michael is director of SI Australia. His classes blend new information on the physiology of fasciae with lively presentations of techniques that are immediately relevant to practising therapists.

Cancellation: If it is deemed that a seminar is not viable, it may be postponed or cancelled by ATMS.

Please note that it is not permissible to bring children to ATMS seminars.
