Complete Screening: 51 Paintings Suite films 1-9

You're invited to the free screening of the complete series of 'The 51 Paintings Suite' films 1-9. Since the first screening in the B80 cinema of '51 Paintings' (film 1) in 2013, the series has grown to a significant body of nine feature length slow cinema films. Based on reconstructions of poses of characters located in Black Death era German paintings, the series was filmed in England, Germany and Australia between 2006-2024. Its now a concluding PhD at Flinders University investigating trauma memory and metamodern affect in slow films.
