Completing Your Stress Cycle - Nervous System Mastery Series
Event description
Nervous System Mastery Workshop Series 3/3
Completing the Stress Cycle
Restore your body's natural ability to regulate
This final workshop teaches you how to restore your body's natural ability to regulate by completing your physiological stress cycle. You'll learn about the four stages of stress response cycle and discover where interruptions commonly occur in modern life. Most importantly, you'll practice guiding your nervous system through complete cycles.
Educational Framework
We'll explore the concept of "window of tolerance" — your optimal zone for processing challenging experiences — and learn to assess your capacity for processing vs restoration. You'll learn a range of mobilisation techniques to release stress from the body, how pausing helps you draw insight from your experiences and how integration helps you expand your resilience.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this workshop, you will:
Understand the four stages of the natural stress response cycle
Have experienced completing a full stress cycle through guided practice
Know your personal window of tolerance and capacity indicators
Be able to assess in real-time whether to process or restore
Have a comprehensive practice plan for ongoing stress cycle completion
Workshop Activities
Educational presentation on stress cycle theory
Guided practice through each stage of the stress cycle
Exploration of various mobilization techniques
Window of tolerance mapping to assess present moment capacity
Tools to integrate your learning experience
Who This Serves
This series is designed for individuals interested in:
Understanding stress from a body-based perspective
Developing practical skills for nervous system regulation
Learning evidence-based approaches to resilience building
Exploring alternatives to purely cognitive stress management methods
No previous experience with somatic practices is required. The content is suitable for anyone curious about the connection between body awareness and stress resilience.
Series Introduction & Options
Experiential Learning Program in Nervous System Regulation
Our body has a natural ability to regulate stress. However, many of us learned to override our body signals to push through. This results in chronic stress, burnout and losing our sense of self.
This three-part experiential series helps you reconnect with your body and restore its natural ability to regulate.
Rather than offering generic and cognitive-based advice on stress management, you'll learn how to sense, understand, and guide your body's physiological processes of stress and recovery.
This approach is grounded in neuroscience research and draws from the work of pioneering practitioners like Thomas Hanna, Peter Levine, Bessel van der Kolk, and Manuela Mischke-Reeds.
What You'll Learn
This series provides practical education in:
Understanding your individual stress response patterns
Developing body awareness as a foundation for regulation
Learning to create safety within your nervous system
Building a toolkit of resources that genuinely support your wellbeing
Understanding and completing natural stress response cycles
