Curious about compost? Join expert permaculture designer Adam Grubb at the Summer Fruit Tree Festival to learn the art of creating great compost. Great compost makes for healthy soil, and the healthier your soil, the happier and more nutritious your veggies are!
The session includes all theory you’ll need to deal with most common problems, and then hands-on demonstrations on compost making, and how to set up and maintain a worm farm.

About the presenter:
Adam Grubb has been working in permaculture for 20 years and is the director of Very Edible Gardens (VEG). After co-founding VEG in 2009 he's now delivered hundreds of gardening workshops. He is also the author of the Weed Forager's Handbook, which has introduced many to the wonders of urban foraging. He regularly hosts edible weed walks throughout Melbourne.

The Werribee Park Heritage Orchard Summer Heritage Fruit Tree Festival is the largest fruit tree gathering in Australia. Pick up top tips at grafting and pruning demonstrations or learn about the historic site on an orchard tour or Werribee River walk. Enjoy free activities for children and explore the beautiful surrounds of the orchard.
Entry to the festival is free, with a gold coin donation requested for parking. Werribee Park Heritage Orchard is volunteer run and proceeds from the festival will go towards supporting the preservation of heritage fruit varieties at the orchard.
