Event description

Reducing your food waste is more important than ever, and one of the best ways to keep food waste out of landfill is with composting, worm farming and bokashi bins!

For this workshop, the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Waste & Sustainability team is joined by author, blogger and low waste educator Lindsay Miles as we explore the wonderful world of household organics recycling.

On her blog www.treadingmyownpath.com, Lindsay shares her experiences with living the low waste lifestyle, with everything from chickens & veggie gardening, to tips & tricks on reducing your single-use plastic reliance. Lindsay is often found presenting talks and workshops for councils and community groups, and she has two great books - "Less Stuff - Simple zero-waste steps to a joyful and clutter-free life" and "The Less Waste No Fuss Kitchen" - both of which help others live more meaningful lives with less waste and less stuff.

By attending this workshop, you will be eligible for the City's Compost & Worm Farm Rebate. More information here:
