Join us for our next Concert in the Gallery, "Songs without Borders"! This event will feature two incredible artists: soprano Nathalie Peña-Comas and soloist Armen Guzelimian.

Latin Grammy-Nominee rising star soprano and actress Nathalie Peña-Comas was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

She has made appearances in Austria, Belarus, Colombia, Croatia, Dominican Republic, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey and the Vatican City.

She performed several operatic roles in Europe and the Dominican Republic including Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Lucia in the tango opera Mateo, Queen of trolls in The two Fiddlers, Gabi in Agleia Federweiss, Musetta in La Bohème, ​Micaëla in Carmen, Violetta in La Traviata and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni.

She made her acting debut at the Los Angeles Theater Center in the role of Nightingale in the world premiere of the theater play "Ghost Waltz". 

She won the 1st Prize at the Ebe Stignani International Opera  Competition 2022, the 2nd Prize at the Montecatini Opera Festival Singing Competition 2022, and has been awarded several prizes for “Classical Singer of the Year” at Soberano Awards (2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021 - Dom. Rep.). She was also finalist at the 14th Osaka International Music Competition (2013) and won the special prize for the “Most Promising Soprano” and for the ''Best Interpretation of a Polish Composition'' at the 14th Ada Sari International Competition of Vocal Art (2011). 

Since 2019 Nathalie serves as Cultural Ambassador for the Dominican Republic.

Armen Guzelimian is celebrated for his versatility as a top-notch collaborative artist, a brilliant soloist and first-rate chamber musician not only in Southern California, but all over the world. He has received national and international critical acclaim for his appearances in many of the major concert halls in the U.S.A and Europe.

He has appeared as soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, California Chamber Symphony, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, American Youth Symphony, the Pasadena Symphony/Pops Orchestra among others, with such conductors as Neville Marriner, Stuart Challenger, Mehli Mehta, Bruce Ferden and Michael Feinstein.

As a chamber musician, Mr. Guzelimian's has appeared with the Rossetti String Quartet, the Los Angeles String Quartet, Camerata Pacifica, the Dilijan Chamber Music Series, Chamber Music in Historic Sites, the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, and the Aspen Festival. He made his Disney Hall debut in March of 2014 with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Chamber Music Society and returned to the delight of audiences in November 2016.

As a recording artist, Mr. Guzelimian's performances are represented on the EMI, Angel, Teldec, Nonesuch, Delos and Crystal labels. He appears on the documentary film "Shadows in Paradise", as well as on Classical Arts Showcase, PBS and throughout Europe on Arte.
