South West Music Regional Conservatorium present the Concert Series Launch Event Featuring Heart & Soul. Nick Renfree-Marks (Former Ten Tenors) & Jennifer Biggs. A celebration of the Great American Songbook. Act 1 contains songs of the heart; love songs and jazz from the 30s and 40s. Act 2 contains songs for the soul; soul music from the 40s and 50s. Accompanied by a 7 piece jazz band (piano, drums, bass, guitar, sax, trumpet and trombone).

Nicholas Renfree-Marks
A Musical Theatre graduate of Federation University’s Arts Academy, Nicholas Renfree-Marks has enjoyed performing with the Australian Shakespeare Company’s Wind in the Willows, Cheeky Theatre Company’s Ordinary Days and for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in Seussical: The Musical. Nick then furthered his vocal training as a classical singer, performing in Melbourne Opera’s Cosi fan tutte, Fidelio, La Traviata and Madama Butterfly, Victorian Opera’s Maria de Buenos Aires, The Magic Pudding Tour, Opera Australia’s schools tour in La Cenerentola, and Melbourne Lyric Opera's Gianni Schicchi. He has also enjoyed touring China with the Australian International Opera Company’s La Traviata, Carmen, then a concert tour of China. After a considerable break, Nicholas returned to the stage in 2023 to tour nationally and internationally with The Ten Tenors
Jennifer Biggs
Jennifer Biggs has been singing all her life and loves nothing more than being on stage, sharing stories of joy, heartache and celebration through song. Jenn spent her early career as a touring singer in bands, duos and trios and has been featured in multiple shows for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. During her time in the UK, Jenn directed the show Rent as well as performing in both musical theatre and pantomime! She has many years of experience performing in local theatre production with roles ranging from Abuela Claudia in In the Heights, Alexandra Spofford in The Witches of Eastwick and Motormouth Maybelle in Hairspray. Jenn’s most recent project involved writing and performing a self devised cabaret show about Cass Elliot better known as Mama Cass which she is looking forward to bringing to audiences across Australia. Jenn also loves singing with her acapella group, Six Degrees of Sound which was recently featured at the Festival of Voices in Hobart. Jenn is thrilled to be performing “Heart and Soul” with her dear friend Nicholas and their swingin’ band, showcasing songs of yesteryear.
