Prepare for a night of delicious food, captivating conversations, and creativity - leaving your heart warm and stomach full! ♡ Join us as we expand our social circles and contribute our voices to shape the future of Victoria.

What to expect:

Stepping into the cozy ambiance of Earth Angels Bar on Victoria Street, you'll be greeted by food, fun, and jazzy tunes. We'll kick off the evening with some lighthearted prompts designed to spark connections and ignite conversations about the things that matter most to you. 

Picture speed-dating, without the pressure. Have fun, meet new friends, and enjoy delicious food in an open and safe space.

Whether you want to see greener communities, more affordable housing, or more places to connect and create - this is your chance to share your dreams, desires and confessions in a judgment-free zone. 

We'll provide various avenues for you to express yourself, from creative activities to anonymous confessional boxes, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable contributing their thoughts and ideas. No topics are off limits - this is your chance to say it all.

What's on the Menu:

• We'll kick off with some speed-dating-style questions to break the ice and get the conversation flowing.
• You'll indulge in a mouthwatering spread prepared by the friendly team at Earth Angels.
• Get crafty upstairs with an array of art supplies, as we piece together our vision for Victoria.
• We’ll have some games and creative activities to have some fun and hear your thoughts. 
• Free food, new connections, and a little gift to thank you for your contributions!

Host of the event, Gabrielle, has been dreaming of ways to meaningfully connect and make new friends in her community since arriving from New Zealand in 2022. Fast forward two years and this opportunity with YLab presents the perfect opportunity to do just that. Join us for dinner, guided activities, and your chance to meet young people in your local neighbourhood.

This event is a part of a series of community engagements designed and run by young people in their local communities with the support of YLab.YLab is a co-design and consulting social enterprise that brings young people with diverse lived experiences and partners together.
The purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity for local young people to connect with one another and contribute their vision for an upcoming Plan for Victoria. The Plan will be embedded in our government for the next thirty years by the Department of Transport and Planning. It is important young people get the chance to contribute to this Plan honestly and deeply. As an attendee you have full agency over your story and how much or how little you share, during or after the event.Topics may include:

• Equity and Jobs
• Thriving and Liveable Suburbs and Towns
• Sustainable Environments and Climate Action
