Conflict Skills: A Community for Veterinary Leaders
Description
Course Overview
Veterinary leaders are regularly expected to manage difficult client interactions and step in when conflict develops between team members. These situations can be emotionally demanding, shaped by competing perspectives and difficult to resolve using a standard framework alone. Without a professional space to examine what is happening, leaders may find it harder to clarify their role, consider different options and prepare a measured response.
Across three monthly live sessions, Cat combines focused conflict education with facilitated discussion, practical scenarios and peer learning. Participants can bring de-identified workplace challenges, explore possible approaches and develop practical next steps with input from Cat and other veterinary leaders. The continuity of the community allows participants to apply new strategies, reflect on what happened and return to consider the situation as it develops.
Key learning areas:
Analyse complex conflict situations, clarify competing perspectives and identify what needs the leader’s attention.
Develop and rehearse practical responses for team disputes, difficult client interactions and emerging workplace challenges.
Strengthen leadership intervention skills through guided reflection, shared experience and collaborative problem-solving with veterinary peers.
