Event description

Join us for an inspiring talk with Jess Coldrey, an Australian artist and humanitarian engineer, visiting from London as Bendigo Tech School's 2024 Artist-in-Residence. Recognised as one of the Top 50 Women in Engineering in the UK, Jess has showcased her technology-driven art at prominent galleries worldwide, including the Australian Museum of Photography.

This session delves into the fascinating interplay between AI, resource scarcity, and the future of the fashion industry. Jess's project in Bendigo uniquely intertwines the region's rich mining and textiles history with contemporary issues, engaging young minds in creating an exhibition using futures thinking tools.

Jess will provide an overview of cutting-edge technologies in art and fashion, share insights from her research-informed art-making process, and update us on her exciting residency journey. The session will culminate in an interactive Q&A, offering you a unique opportunity to delve deeper into these compelling topics. We hope to see you there!
