Congee Club Powerpoint + Potluck Night

We want to hear about your research deep dives, hyper fixations, hot takes, applaud your niche talents and hear your silly stories because.. Dua Bakehouse in Collingwood is graciously hosting our Congee Club Powerpoint + Potluck Night!

All you Congee Club Queer Asian Cuties are invited to our community gathering potluck on Sunday 28th June 4-8pm, but this time its with a TWIST!!

We're doing regular potluck style (so no congee) but please bring a dish to share OR sign up to present a 5-10min powerpoint on a topic of your choice!

*Please keep all presentations between 5-10mins so we'll have time to see everyone's at the event!

As usual we'll donate 50% of proceeds from this event to Mutual Aid. Please donate if you have the means!

Who are we for?

• Just like how almost every Asian culture has a ‘rice porridge/gruel’ dish (commonly known as congee in English), the name of this group encompasses all Asian cultures. Whether your background is East, South or South-East Asian and you're LGBTQIA+ you are welcome here!

• We are a safe and inclusive space for all LGBTQIA+ people. If you identify as even a little bit Queer or questioning, this space is for you too! 

• Though we are primarily organising events aimed at young people (18+), there is no upper age limit (so bring your parents, we love aunties and uncles!).

We're organising this event for queer asian community as its one of our smaller get-togethers (allies and friends are welcome to our bigger events!)
