Okanagan Offline is about creating more opportunities for young adults in their 20's, 30's, and 40's to get out, meet others, try something new, and spend more time connecting in real life. Our events won’t always look the same; one might be board games, another might be bowling, a walk, coffee, a creative night, a picnic, or something completely different. The common thread? Getting people off their screens and into real life.
For our first event, we’re heading to Twice the Dice Board Game Café for an evening of board games and getting to know the people around you. We’re creating events with the little things built in; from who you’re seated with to activities that get you mixing, so meeting new people feels easier, more natural, and a lot less awkward.
We’ll get everyone settled into tables and get some games going, with a few simple ways to encourage people to mix and meet throughout the evening. You can come with a friend, come on your own, or somewhere in between. The goal is simply to have a fun night and make some new connections along the way!
Spaces are limited, so grab your ticket and come be part of the very first Okanagan Offline gathering!

No board game expertise required. Just show up ready to play, meet some people, and have a good time.
THE PLAN (GIVE OR TAKE 😉)
5:45 - 6:10 PM --> Arrive, settle in, meet your table (Feel free to grab a drink or snack from the café if you'd like — food and drinks are not included with your event ticket)
6:10 PM --> Games begin!
7:30 PM --> Offline Exchange: we’ll mix things up partway through the night so you can meet some new faces beyond your table too!
7:45PM --> Grab a drink, keep chatting, and we'll grab a group photo before everyone heads out!

FAQs
- Do I have to come with someone?
Nope! Come with a friend, come on your own, or somewhere in between. The evening is designed to make it easy to meet and chat with people along the way.
- Do I need to know how to play board games?
Not at all! We’ll have plenty of games to choose from, and you can pick something that looks fun! - Will I stay at the same table all night?
Not quite! We’ll have an Offline Exchange partway through the evening to get people moving around and meeting others beyond their original table.
- Are food and drinks included?
Food and drinks are not included with your ticket, but you’re welcome to order from Twice the Dice during the event.
- What if I'm coming alone?
That's totally fine! There will be other people coming on their own, and we'll have a few things built into the evening to make meeting people feel natural; from age-coordinated table seating to other activities planned to make meeting others easier!
- Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself :)
