Event description

🤝WHAT IS CONNECT FOUR?

Connect Four brings together a diverse mix of creatives, entrepreneurs, leaders, researchers, activists and beyond, to connect over topics which are not usually explored in our daily lives. Come along and connect with people who share your interests and collaborate on future projects!

🤝WHAT TO EXPECT?

During the first part of the evening, we will delve into 1:1 conversations that are engaging, insightful and promotes the sharing of ideas and collaboration. Topics range from world affairs, social impact, life, culture, anecdotes and more.

The second part of the evening is entirely up to you! We will have an Open Mic available for you to share your story, idea or call to action with the entire room.

Delicious catering from STREAT will be provided.

🤝WHY DOES CONNECT FOUR EXIST?

By the end of the night, we hope you had the chance to engage in four meaningful conversations and walk away with some lasting connections.

🤝HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THE EVENT?

You will get the most out of Connect Four if you come to the event having thought about:

  • Who you are
  • What your story is
  • What you’re trying to pursue
  • A call-to-action from the audience

So carefully listen, converse, connect and collaborate!

Note: We take access and inclusion seriously. We are committed to making every event as accessible and inclusive as possible for all members of our community. If you have a specific access request, would like further information or want to provide any suggestions, we would love to hear from you.

About our event partner: Youth Affairs Council of Victoria

YACVic is the leading advocate for young people aged 12–25 in Victoria. As a peak body, we work closely with young Victorians and the sector that supports them to deliver effective advocacy, events, training, resources and support – so that young people can live their best lives. We’re driven by our valuable members and their vision for a positive future for young Victorians. YACVic is an independent, for-purpose organisation with core funding from the Victorian Government’s Office for Youth. We pursue social justice by maintaining a focus on those young people in our community who face disadvantage or marginalisation. We provide additional targeted advocacy and services through our core agencies, YACVic Rural and the Youth Disability Advocacy Service, and auspice and support our partner agencies, the Koorie Youth Council and the Victorian Student Representative Council.
