Event description

Connect the Community is an event that aims to do just that! This year it is located in New Brighton where we aim to get 300 volunteers helping out the local community. Some of the projects include mulching, planting, rubbish cleanups, and graffiti removal. After volunteering, we will go to a venue to relax, enjoy some food, listen to some tunes and connect with others.

WHEN and WHERE?

Saturday 30th of July from 1pm till 7pm. We will be vibing in the amazing Roy Stokes Community Hall in New Brighton which aims to host and support more community events in its expansive space. We are volunteering all around New Brighton. 

HOW MUCH? (UC students only)
Registration is free! There will be an array of stalls at the venue that you can purchase from. There are varying prices but you are guaranteed a feed! Keep an eye on the Facebook page for more information about the stalls.

VENUE TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

- Busses leave at 1pm. Before that, you will need to have your ticket scanned. Aim to get to the Haere Roa car park at 12:45pm. 

- There are no alcoholic drinks allowed in the UC vans

- Please cancel your ticket if you are not coming!

- Event organisers take no responsibility for personal possessions brought to the event. Please look after your things.
