Connect through Creative Expression (Arts in the Alley Festival workshops)

All creative materials and activities are included. Exploring what sound looks like, what colours taste like, or feel like, and how materials available to us can express what we want to say without words. Connect with someone new, or your inner self, with three main exercises to create 3 'layers' of your work. This piece will be offered as a gift if desired (this is NOT realism this will be ABSTRACT no facial features or the like). Energy is about how our inner child & inner creative heart experience others.

No skills required. All ages. 

(minimum 4 participants - tickets will be refunded if no minimum- adults MUST be present with children under 16, and sign a consent form & waiver for children under 18 digital link available for ease).

Workshop Abstract: Connect with a new person, your inner self, (or if you have your child, connect with them) get to know things about them, and create a piece with guidance that represents what it is you observe about them & their energy each layer will 

Connection & warmup activities (bi-lateral mark-making, body scanning & transferring to visual, exploring material availability, joy & silliness)

Background (colour & texture, layers & boundaries)

Mid-layer elements (switching, seeing from different perspectives, playing with different materials) 

Top layer elements - depend on the outcome of the session. 

Closing activities. 

Creative Expression has a wonderfully wide umbrella of inclusions and you'll leave more connected to how YOU can continue to bring creativity into your daily life, learn skills, and maybe even a tangible 'piece' to show off or gift to someone else.
