Connect with your Roots!
Event description
🌱 Come along and learn about Project Roots! 🌱
Join us for the launch of Project Roots in Aotearoa! We are a non-profit social enterprise supported by the Glenn Family Foundation, dedicated to reconnecting members of the Sri Lankan diaspora with their cultural heritage through immersive volunteer placements, cultural education, and community development initiatives across Sri Lanka. ❤️
This special event is your chance to meet the team behind the Roots programme, learn about our mission to empower youth through cultural identity and community, and find out how you can get involved. Whether you're a student, yo-pro, or just curious about what we do, come along to connect, share, and grow with us. We will hear from our co-founder, Tharaka Munidasa and also be hosting an identity workshop. Light refreshments will be provided; bring your energy and an open heart!
Thank you to Massey University Albany Sri Lankan Association for collaborating with us!
