Connected Creatives- Spring Sanctuary
Event description
An afternoon of soul-led, hands-on exploration for families who value presence, imagination, creativity and community.
🌸 This spring, Connected Creatives returns as the next chapter of Youthful Creatives — an expansion, an evolution, a reawakening.
This isn’t just an art and craft session.
It’s a sanctuary for presence.
💫 We’ll begin with a short, family-friendly opening meditation to ground us before flowing into creative exploration — a time for play, connection, and mindful making across a series of thoughtfully designed creation stations.
Think:
🌿 nature playdough sanctuaries
🌬️ breathwork games
🎨 intuitive mandala art
💖 affirmation cards
🧿 clay trinkets
🪷 nervous system nurturing
The creative process itself is the real magic.
This gathering brings together the heart of many past Youthful Creatives workshops — woven into one rich afternoon to honour where we’ve been, celebrate how far we’ve come, and expand into what’s next as a connected, creative community.
This is a space to come home to yourself, your family, and your inner artist —
Even (and especially) if you don’t think of yourself as one.
No experience needed. No perfection required.
Just curiosity, presence, and a willingness to play.
🎨 Children and caregivers create together in a shared experience of soulful expression.
Clay and art creations can be taken home as precious mementos — and as tools to deepen connection at home, too.
📍 Yoga House, Ōrewa
📆 Tuesday 23rd September | 1 – 3pm
🎟️ Sliding scale koha | Limited spaces | Bookings essential
Come play, breathe, create, and connect in this nurturing sanctuary space.
This is just the beginning.
🌿 Who is this for?
This offering welcomes children of all ages and their caregivers.
Creative invitations are designed to most engage children aged 4–10, though younger siblings are welcome with support — and older children are also warmly encouraged to dive in.
We honour the richness of mixed-age learning (tuakana-teina), where everyone has something to offer and receive.
Unlike past drop-off sessions, this is a full family experience of presence and co-creation.
Your presence matters.
You’ll also be invited to share your reflections to help shape future gatherings and offer your valued insights into what supports and nurtures your whānau most. We are excited to build these offerings with you and for you :)
