Connecting Culture ~ Finding the Right Way

Conversations and activities to support cultural integrity in workplace practices 

Welcome to Connecting Culture, an event that’s more than a workshop; it's a gathering of minds that gives you a chance to learn from Elders, educators, youth and industry experts to deepen your understanding of Aboriginal culture and how to bring these insights into your work practices. 

Embracing the Aboriginal way of knowledge sharing, there will be storytelling through conversations, tastings, reflection and hands-on activities that help you connect with Aboriginal culture in practical ways. You'll learn about the practical application of cultural frameworks for meaningful engagement and integration in the classroom or workplace. 

Connecting Culture will enhance your professional practice and provide you with an opportunity to understand and appreciate the land we live, learn, work and play on. You’ll leave with fresh ideas and strategies that you can take back to your work, along with new connections and a deeper appreciation of Aboriginal perspectives.  

Tickets include a shared meal featuring local ingredients and bushfoods.This event was designed for anyone working with Aboriginal children and youth, including educators, VET practitioners, trainers, support workers and professionals.
