Connecting to Country SOLD OUT

Join us at our Connecting to Country event at Shepherds Bush, hosted by Monash Council and the Friends of Dandenong Valley Parklands!

Wurundjeri Elder Ian Hunter will share Indigenous history and culture as we walk through the beautiful bushland area around Dandenong Creek.

Uncle Ian will Welcome everyone to Country, followed by a walk through the local bushland to hear indigenous knowledge and stories focusing on indigenous plants and connections to culture.

Meeting point: The Parks depot at 95 Shepherd Bush Road 

Additional information:

• Please wear sturdy shoes and bring a hat and coat depending on weather.
• Bring your water bottle!
  
• The walking component is of moderate walking difficulty (as weather can affect the track).
• A light lunch will be provided. Please advise of any dietary requirements when registering your ticket, or email sustainability@monash.vic.gov.au.
• Cultural walks are usually very popular. There will be a waiting list. If you register then find that you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket so that someone else can enjoy the event.
