This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Join Pamela Gill (EcoMatters) and Ruby Moore (Fresh Water Ecologist and Collections Manager for Natural Sciences at Auckland Museum) for a guided walk.

Explore, share and get hands-on experience at our local stream in Olympic Park. Learn about what species have been found in the Whau, both native and exotic, historically and today. Understand more about how water is collected for monitoring, and how we all have a part to play in caring for these natural areas so that stream life can thrive.

Areas of sharing and connection to water health will include Wai Care monitoring, eDNA testing, stream clean ups, weeding and planting.

This event is part of a larger event happening at EcoMatters on Sunday 19 March. Find out more here: https://www.ecomatters.org.nz/...

The guided walk is limited to a maximum of 20 people, so please reserve your free spot.
