Event description

This is a fun run event held annually in Mt Barker, in the Adelaide Hills to raise money to support at-risk local youth and disadvantaged families. This year it will be held on Sunday 27th March.

Competitors run through local wetlands, along the country roads, up Ngeringa’s steep ‘Whinery Hill’ through the vineyard, veg patch, then up the fire-track to the top of Mt Barker Summit.

With 5km, 10km and 20km options, participants can choose whether to finish their journey at the top of the mountain, or turn around and run back to the start.

For all runners, friends and wine enthusiasts we will open the Ngeringa Cellar Door between 11am and 3pm (you don't have to run to the summit to get a feed!)

Make your way back from the finish line to the Ngeringa Cellar Door to enjoy a glass of biodynamic wine and a healthy feast with ingredients grown on the Ngeringa farm, prepared by Brendan Cato of The Farmed Table.

Free wine tastings will be available all day. Wines and other beverages will be available for purchase on the day at Cellar Door prices, by the glass or bottle.
