Conquering Cryptic Crosswords

Cryptic Crosswords may seem challenging at first but give great satisfaction when successfully solved. All it takes is a bit of patience, plus awareness of some basic rules and tricks of the trade.
Over this two-session course for beginners, crossword expert Ralph Penglis will show you how to unravel the riddle of the cryptic clue.
To get you started, here is an example of a cryptic clue. See if you can guess the answer! (Answer further down)

Two-part workshop series at Warringah Mall Library:
- Monday 17 June, 1 - 3pm. Week 1: Introduction to cryptic crosswords outlining tips and tricks.
- Monday 24 June, 1 - 3pm. Week 2: Follow up session with more detail and hints.
Ticket covers entry to both sessions.
