What does it mean for you to complete something? Does it speak of breaking away, separation, difficult endings?  Or does it mean liberation, satisfaction, relief and expansion? Perhaps it’s a mix of many things. 

Completion lives within the fabric life, as with death we cannot avoid it, even if we try.  

2020 has been a Big Year and this month we come together to complete, put to rest, say goodbye and maybe with a measure of good riddance! In the same breath who knows what the future holds in store.

One things for sure, we can gather to complete, shake off whatever needs to fall away, breath fresh air into it all and activate in celebration, with gratitude and grace. We are still here, we can still dance, we have choice as our guide and companion. Love continues to hold us through it all.

So bring your dancing shoes, your everything, your goodbyes, your relief and together we are going to rock this world and celebrate!!

CONSCIOUS CLUBBING - RITES OF DANCE

Conscious Clubbing is an experience that transcends ‘ecstatic dance’. This is a journey and party all rolled into one incredible experience. Facilitated through the alchemy of music, sound healing and visual art and blended with your activation through dance. This is a next level experience that can and has changed peoples lives.

Since the earliest moments of our known history, dance has played a role in ancient rituals, spiritual gatherings and social events. It is believed by many historians that these dances are one of the essential factors of the development of early human civilisations, and for many ancient civilisations, dance served as an irreplaceable way of expressing human thought and emotion.

Conscious Clubbing - Rites of Dance, is a dance floor initiation experience, a rite of passage through music, visuals, dance, movement and expression.

ABOUT CACAO

We introduce cacao to invoke a sense of ritual and ceremony, a spiritual sacrament to weave us together into one purposeful container. What makes cacao ceremonial is our intention and contribution of presence and prayer. High grade organic cacao contains 300-1200 individual constituents, making it one of the most pharmacologically complex plant substances known to humankind.

COVID

Stage 3 COVID19 Safe Plan.

We've introduced the following information to honour the Industry Covid Safe Plan so we can run a healthy, safe, vibrant and problem free event.

Tickets will be limited to the maximum number of people we can fit within the venue to adhere to social distancing requirements of 2sq/m per person.

Participation Requirements:

- We ask that everyone respect and adhere to the 1.5m social distancing practice at all times

- Upon arrival please fill out your contact details in the attendance form provided

- Please use the hand sanitisers provided wherever possible

- Please also bring your water bottle and supply for the night to minimise bubbler/tap use

- If you’re feeling sick/showing flu-like symptoms on the day, please respect the wellbeing of the group and stay home

No Refunds*, however you’re free to use the comments section of this page to sell or gift your ticket if you’re unable to make it.

* This is an outdoor event, if there is inclement weather, we will relocate to Tugun Community Centre - no refunds will be offered if we have to do this so please take this into consideration when purchasing your ticket.

IMPORTANT INFO/WHAT TO BRING

You’re in for a big night and it’s a good idea to be prepared.

What to bring:

- BYO drinking water (1 - 2 litres)

- Light, comfortable clothes to move and sweat in and also reflect your beautiful presence in ceremony

- Cushion/pillow to sit on

- Yoga mat/something to lie on and a shawl to cover yourself with for the sound integration

- A strong intention for what you’re wanting to let go of/call in

* No previous experience needed.

** No talking on the dance floor. Please take conversations to the back of the room or out to the foyer.

*** Ceremony starts at 7pm and doors are locked at 7:10pm. If you arrive after this time you won’t be permitted entry and no refunds, exchanges or transfers will be granted so please be on time.

MEET YOUR FACILITATORS

MARK_SANKHARA

Saṅkhāra is an ancient Buddhist term meaning formation, fabrication, the process of fashioning and the fashioned things that result. It is a term that could be used to describe the way the man himself works a crowd, ‘fashioning’ the atmosphere on dance floors into an irresistible and energetic experience, full of - but by no means limited to - alluring mid tempo, bass heavy, funk-induced, melodic pieces.

Sankhara’s sets consist of an infusion of many different genres and styles, focusing heavily on Tribal and World beats. His intention is not just to get you tapping your feet and nodding your head, but to have you dancing until your feet fall off and you’re no longer able to stand!

Sankhara is a NZ born Gold Coast based DJ who has played in various clubs, competitions, parties, weddings and conscious dance events in NZ and Australia over the past decade. He obtained a Diploma in Audio Engineering in 05/06 and has been playing guitar for over 20 years. He is also passionate about men's work and runs and facilitates mens workshops and is also a Spiral Practitioner.

VJ_Anthos

Anthos is a ceremony facilitator, visual alchemist (visual jockey aka VJ) and visionary artist. His favoured skill is creating and holding a deep presence for participants to drop into and connect with themselves on a soul level. Be it a guided meditation, cacao ceremony or embodiment workshop via The Ecstatic Current or sweating it out on the dance floor.

His VJ performances guide people into a visual wonderland to explore and journey into a world filled with colour, symbology, mixed with dance to activate a sense of celebration of this beautiful experience of life.

Life is a Ceremony and the more we open to and embody that experience our creative inspiration flows and we can connect to our deeper knowing and from there make healthy choices for ourselves and our world.

Anthos’s visionary art is inspired by his work with sacred plant medicines, a journey that began over a decade ago in the Ecuadorian ranges. His art is sacred geometry guided by the Fibonacci Code, his unique symbology (sometimes referred to as ‘light language). Prints, acrylics and beautiful tapestries are available for purchase on his website.
