Event description
Conscious Connect is a conscious dating event for singles to meet and experience meaningful connection with like-minded people.
Throughout the 2.5 hour event, participants will be guided through partnered exercises inspired by authentic relating, somatic therapy, and co-regulation techniques that are designed to cultivate conscious and meaningful connection. These are no-nonsense ways of connecting that help us slow down, be present, and access curiosity and play with one another.
Wear something comfortable that makes you feel like your best self!
We welcome individuals ages 25-50. While we know this is a wide age range, we're positive it won't prevent you from connecting with people who are right for you.
EVENT SCHEDULE:
5:00 - 5:15 PM: Arrive, settle in, introductions & icebreakers
5:15 - 6:30 PM: Connection Games
6:30 - 7:30 PM: Time to mingle & connect.
Feel free to grab food at one of the many fantastic vendors and lounge in the main eating area with your new connections. We will have connection deepening activities set out that you can engage in at your own leisure.
MEET YOUR FACILITATOR
Mia Becker is a certified somatic practitioner and therapist who is passionate about helping others break out of the cycle of chronic stress, regulate their nervous systems, and connect with the people in their lives in authentic ways.
After training as a somatic practitioner, Mia earned her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in order to bridge the worlds of somatics and mental health. Mia facilitates workshops that focus on somatic approaches to stress management and authentic living, including topics on nervous system regulation, conscious connection, co-regulation, somatic healing techniques, and conscious movement.
Her mission is to empower people to come back home to their bodies and inner wisdom and cultivate opportunities for self-regulation and co-regulation in everyday life that spark healing change in our communities.
