When it comes to Cryptocurrencies, everyone has heard of Bitcoin, which emerged in 2009 after the last global financial crises. Despite its initial sceptics (including me), Bitcoin has proven it is here to stay and has paved the way for new and improved cryptocurrencies to be built, using the decentralised block chain technology (i.e the system is not controlled by any one entity).

The world is now onboard with crypto, as governments, banks and large corporations are waking up to the fact that this is the future on how economies will be built.  While Bitcoin does have brand awareness as the first cryptocurrency to hit the market, it also has some major limitations which include extreme volatility, slow transaction times, expensive transaction costs and ease of use.
