What is Conscious Dance?

Conscious dance is unchoreographed body-led movement. The specific modality used

is known as Dancing Freedom.

The process will be guided by a facilitator in training.

Why Conscious Dance?

Conscious dance is a movement meditation. A safe container for participants to

connect to each other and themselves. No dance experience is necessary.

There is no wrong way to move in this therapeutic practice which helps shift & release emotion and

stagnant energy.

The Dancing Freedom modality weaves dance and ceremony together allowing us to express ourselves, to remember what it's like to be child-like, to have fun and to come back to our true selves.

What happens at a Conscious Dance event?

We start with an opening circle, where a theme is introduced. We then

proceed into the dance, the music takes participants on a journey

through an elemental flow in the order of Earth, Water, Fire, Air &

Ether. After the dance we gather in a closing circle where participants

are welcome to share their experiences if they so choose.

What to bring:
~Water bottle
~Cool & Warm layers (something comfortable to move in)
~Yoga mat as we start on the floor or a blanket if you prefer one
~A mug for herbal tea, if you'd like to stay for a cuppa after the dance
